This week, we continued the book of Titus. In the sermon, the big idea was we need pastors because the gospel has enemies.

First, we need pastors because the gospel has enemies, who are numerous ( verses 10-11)

Second, we need pastors because the gospel has enemies, who need rebuked ( verses 12-14)

Third, we need pastors because the gospel has enemies, who distort it. ( verses 15-16)

Summary and Reflection:

Read Titus Chapter 1 verses 10-16. In this passage, we learn that local churches need pastors because the gospel has enemies.

  1. How are false teachers described? How are they to be responded to? ( verses 10-11)
  2. What generally true about Cretans? How should the pastor respond? ( verses 12-14)
  3. What makes a person spiritually pure? What cannot make a pure? ( verses 15-16)
